I've been photographing high school seniors for over 25 years, all across the Front Range — Boulder, Erie, Broomfield, Niwot, Denver, Louisville, Lafayette and beyond. And here's what I've learned: every single senior who walks in front of my camera is more beautiful, more interesting, and more themselves than they realize.
My job is just to show them that.
I had a senior once who'd been through some genuinely hard stuff. The day of her shoot the weather turned ugly — wind, rain, all of it. But she showed up anyway. And she was so free, so completely and unapologetically herself, that she ended up inspiring me. I still think about her.
That's what senior portraits are supposed to feel like. Not stiff. Not staged. Just you — fully, beautifully you.
I want you to walk away from your shoot feeling exactly as beautiful as I see you that day.

WHAT TO THINK ABOUT FOR A SENIOR PHOTOSHOOT:
For the senior:
This isn't going to be awkward. I promise. We'll find a location that actually means something to you, bring whatever you're passionate about, and just hang out — with a camera pointed at you while you forget it's there. You'll be surprised how fun this is.
For the parent:
I see your kid the way you see them — as someone extraordinary. I'll capture who they actually are right now, at this exact moment, so you can hold onto it forever. Bring tissues. Just in case.
A few things to think about before your shoot:
Find a location that inspires you — mountains, urban walls, your favorite coffee shop, wherever feels like you. Bring an outfit you actually love. Bring your passion — your instrument, your sport, your dog. And on the makeup front: don't overdo it. You're beautiful. Trust that.
