I’ve been thinking about this couple because they were one of the first engagement sessions I’ve had since COVID 19 hit us.
I was feeling very nervous about the shoot as I have been at home for so long I felt I may have forgotten how to do it. Thankfully they were so sweet and fun to be around and I did not forget how to do it.
One of the things I strive for for my couples is to find the “they” in them. I want to represent them as authentically as I can. Sometimes that happens right away, sometimes it takes a while.
This particular shoot, while it was easy, I did not find them until the very end of the shoot. It was in a moment when they sat down and he threw his arm over her that I knew that’s how they were together when no one is watching.
It made me so happy to see them that way.
